LDS Primary song booklet

For today in my pinterest challenge I am making a song booklet. The original pin is here. I thought that since my kids sing songs in church every week, it'd be nice to practice them at home once in a while too. I typed up the words to some favorites and those frequently sung. I still have to buy a ring to keep them together, but otherwise they are finished. I laminated them using my xyron machine, such a time saver.

You can download the songs HERE if you want. And after I got them all printed I realized that I should make sure I had all the songs for this years primary program, so I had to make an extra page which also includes some of next years program. You can get the extra page HERE.

Monday

Crib rail cover

Pinterest Challenge Day 6: Teething cover for crib rail.
My youngest is 18 months old, and likes to bite and chew on things. Including his crib rail. It's starting to look a little beat up. I've seem some really cute sewn rail covers, but never got around to making one. Then on Pinterest I saw a no-sew crib rail cover! Hallelujah! Something I need and might actually make!
Mine isn't as pretty as the one on the tutorial, but it seems to work just fine. And now baby boy isn't eating paint chips.

Sunday

Pork Chops

Day 5 of my Pinterest Challenge: Honey Garlic Pork Chops (from Spark Recipes). It was good. My kids liked it for the most part (the oldest was skeptical). It tasted kind of like teriyaki to me, but that's ok because I like teriyaki. I don't have a grill, so I pan fried it, still turned out great. I think it's a nice change from the way I usually make pork shops. I may just have to put this into the dinner rotation permanently.

Waterfall Braid

Next up on my pinterest challenge is a hairstyle. I don't do my own hair much, but I do have 2 little girls who like having pretty hairstyles. I've seen lots of cute girl hairstyles on pinterest, and pinned many myself, and now I have finally gotten around to doing one again. I think the waterfall braid is super cute (I used this tutorial on Girly Do Hairstyles). It works well with the length of my older daughters hair. She only let me do half her hair though, she wasn't feeling up to letting me do her whole head. Well, now that I know what I'm doing maybe we can try again later when she's in a better mood (of course, who knows when that will be...such a moody 9 year old)

Friday

Halloween Decoration

My Friday Pinterest Challenge project was making a Halloween Decoration. I happened to be in Home Depot getting shelf brackets and while I was passing the paint area I remembered this pin using paint color cards. So I grabbed a few cards and we made this decoration. The kids liked helping me cut these out and drawing faces on. A quick and easy project. We like it.
